As the Co-Founder and CEO of Fulcrum Lending Corporation, Maxwell brings a depth of experience from the private credit, private equity, and fintech sectors over the last decade, all with a focus on real estate and real estate operating companies. Formerly, Maxwell led the spinout of a technology group from Greystone as the Chief Underwriter leading all credit analysis, structuring, underwriting and business development. The resulting company was TapCap (acquired by Walker & Dunlop). Maxwell has held positions as a fund manager, investment banker and principal investor at several real estate firms in New York City managing institutional private equity funds of over $1.4B in equity, underwriting single asset and portfolio acquisitions of over $10B. He began his career at C-III Capital Partners.
Maxwell graduated from UC Santa Barbara and received a Master's in Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
